Changes to body and mind

Duration 45 min. Discussion 10 min.

Barend Voorham

How is it possible that a substance that is introduced into the body – e.g. antidepressants and tranquilizers - can influence the human consciousness? Does this contradict the basic theosophical assumption that the consciousness is the basis of the body? It does not! By means of ten hypotheses this presentation tries to answer that paradox. The key to the question lies in the human make-up, the human composite constitution.
